University Hospitals is preparing to open a new $39 million Seidman Cancer Center at UH TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township, expanding advanced cancer services for patients in Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties.
The approximately 40,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to open in early fall. University Hospitals says the regional cancer hub will make specialized and complex treatments available closer to patients who previously may have needed to travel to downtown Cleveland.
The project represents a $39 million investment by University Hospitals. The health system first announced the development in February 2025 as part of its effort to expand access to Seidman Cancer Center services throughout Northeast Ohio.
The new center will provide medical oncology and radiation oncology services. Plans also include infusion treatment, pharmacy support and access to clinical trials. The facility is designed to bring several parts of cancer treatment together at the TriPoint campus.
University Hospitals has developed other regional cancer hubs, including locations at UH Avon and UH Minoff Health Centers. The Concord Township project extends that model farther east.
The health system said the center will support patients who live in Lake County and neighboring communities, reducing the distance many families must travel for specialized care.
Construction has progressed since the original announcement, and local reporting this week showed the facility nearing its opening.
UH TriPoint Medical Center is located in Concord Township and serves communities throughout Lake County and surrounding areas.
University Hospitals operates the Seidman Cancer Center network as part of its broader cancer treatment and research program. The new TriPoint center adds another regional location where patients can receive oncology care connected to the University Hospitals system.
The facility is expected to begin serving patients early this fall after final preparations are completed.
