Cavaliers to Hold 2026 Training Camp in Spain

The Cleveland Cavaliers will begin preparations for the 2026-27 NBA season in Spain, holding a six-day training camp in Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol.

The camp is scheduled for September 30 through October 5 at The Embassy, a high-performance basketball training center in the Málaga area.

The trip will give Cleveland’s players and coaching staff a dedicated environment for practices, conditioning, recovery and tactical preparation before returning to the United States for preseason play.

The Embassy was designed by former professional players Berni Rodríguez and José Manuel Calderón.

The approximately 1,500-square-meter facility includes two courts built to FIBA and NBA standards, a high-performance gym, rehabilitation and physiotherapy areas and recovery resources.

It also includes audiovisual technology that teams can use for scouting, film work and tactical preparation.

Training camp is one of the most important stages of the NBA preseason. Coaches use the sessions to install offensive and defensive systems, evaluate roster combinations and prepare players physically for the regular season.

For the Cavaliers, the overseas camp adds an international element to preparations for a season carrying high expectations in Cleveland.

After the six-day camp, Cleveland will turn its attention to the preseason schedule and the final roster decisions leading into the 2026-27 NBA season.
