Northeast Ohio is heading into another stretch of changing spring weather as Cleveland prepares for cool sunshine, scattered rain showers, and a brief warmup heading into the weekend.

After several chilly mornings this week, temperatures will slowly moderate over the next few days, although clouds and occasional rain chances will continue moving through the region.

Thursday: Cool but Comfortable

Thursday looks like the best weather day of the three-day stretch for much of Northeast Ohio.

Expect mostly sunny skies during the morning and afternoon with highs reaching the mid-50s around Cleveland and slightly warmer temperatures inland toward Akron and Medina County. Winds will remain relatively light, helping conditions feel pleasant despite temperatures staying below average for early May.

By late evening, clouds will begin increasing from the west ahead of an approaching weather system. A few isolated overnight showers are possible, especially west of downtown Cleveland.

Friday: Clouds and Scattered Showers

Friday brings a more unsettled pattern back into the area.

Skies will turn mostly cloudy throughout the day with scattered rain showers developing during the afternoon and evening hours. While heavy rain is not expected, periods of light to moderate showers could impact the evening commute across Northeast Ohio.

Temperatures will top out near 58 degrees with slightly breezy conditions developing near the Lake Erie shoreline.

Saturday: Warmest Day Ahead

Saturday appears to be the warmest day of the forecast period.

High temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-60s with mostly cloudy skies and occasional breaks of sunshine. A few isolated afternoon showers or thunderstorms may develop later in the day, but much of Saturday should remain dry.

By Saturday night, cooler air will begin moving back into the region as another weather system approaches Northeast Ohio.
